So today is my first day in my new place. -Granted i am sleeping on the couch for the next week- So it finally feels good to let my hair down and turn my nervous frown (on finding a place) upside down. Still living through my suitcase though; collectively it will be three weeks of doing so. I am starting this blog where Matt (he's the one jumping in front of the solar flower in Recoleta)left off at http://www.jamcult.com/. So from his awesomeness as a blogger and the many talks from my brother to start up my own blog, these factors were the origin of this and many more posts to come. And two other main factors: 1.) The fact that I am in Argentina by myself and 2.) with the help of my new roommate Dena to help with the photo and hopefully video situation. There are a few things you should no about me when reading my posts, even if we have a close relationship or not. This blog will be filled with tons of grammatical and spelling errors, so feel free to correct. And the use of utter horrible and/or lack there of good vocabulary, so feel free to insert any better words. Enjoy and leave in comments in the "solution box."
So like I said I am by myself Matt was the first one of us to go back for summertime in the states. So that left Joe and I two full days of our brand new friendship to spend together. (If need introductions to the people traveling with me at the start, please view Matt's blog, i believe there under "primera dia." So we visited Mendoza the wine region of Argentina. It was 1200 miles rounds trip. so that made it a 23 hour bus ride for where we only spent 12 hours there. We rented bikes (not scooters) cruised a 12km stretch of beautiful Mendoza and indulged in chocolate, wine, and the dreaded absinthe.
Above on the right is the guard dog of this lovely vineyard her name is Whisky.
Okay. From left to right Yalda- the girl whose room I will be taking over for she is super sweet and super nice. Ariel- super funny and the most and caring dude ever (he is the only Argentine in the house). Me-insert your own thoughts if you will. Kat- Yalda's cousin on a nice week vacation- ditto Yalda's remarks, except the whole taking over her room. Dena-my new best bud we hangout all the time and you will hear and see more of her. And front and center the smartest and friendliest dog ever Thor. The next picture is my roommates and I at a little Birthday Bash: Dena and Ariel rooftop style in Palermo. And the final picture of this category was taken around 3:30 in the morning, right when the cake came out to basically get the party and dancing started. The birthday girls name is Cynthia(F.Y.I.).
These groups of photos show just a little bit of our 3 bedroom apartment with 1 bath sweet little balcony. And yes Dena and I hang with Thor not the other way around.
